Destiny Farm is preparing to construct a new Poultry processing facility here on the farm. It will be open to all to use to process their own birds at or we can do it with you. We Invite you to get with us now before we get it up and running to get in on the decision making on how the plant will be used. We are hoping to construct a facility that is a safe, clean, organized place for all flock owners to use to add value to what they raise and sell. Right now as we begin we are just hoping to get it open and approved for use by the MDA but in time we are hoping all the local flock owners will get on board and get involved!! We could all get together and offer all our customers what it is that we all raise and grow. We all need to get together and work out the details, Just some Ideas are,,,, We could all get together and set up a schedule for who's processing what when, then when your customer calls and needs something and yours aren't ready yet but another member is processing tomorrow and has extras, you could get some of his to make your customer happy and then repay him when yours are ready. We could plan it so we all process at different times and keep a steady supply broilers to all pull from and sell. Not to mention the verity we could offer.
We are planning to set it up to have all modern equipment, plenty of cooler space and a freezer capable of storing a good supply of product. Before we start, we will all get together and see if we can get a pro to come show us the ropes on proper and safe processing and storing of fresh product.
Who Knows maybe we could all get together and start our own meat market? Setup stores around that only sells what we all grow? People there is so much we could all get together and do that we could never do alone.
