A Little about Us,
My name is Joni. My husband and I moved to Brighton in
1998 with our four children. We wanted to raise
them in a country atmosphere where they could learn about nature,
wildlife and plant life.
I have been growing plants just about all my life, and was into landscaping
for the last twenty years. I have also been raising poultry and exotic pheasants
for the last ten years. My husband is a licensed builder, and licensed electrician,
and also my vegetable expert, eating, growing and caring for. He also has a
knack with animals. They seem to be naturally drawn to him.
When the boy's were small, they had their dad build them a lemonade stand
and decided to sell some of dad's vegetables from his garden and mom's plants
from her greenhouse, and so,,,,,,, the farm stand was born!
People loved it.
Since then, The Farm Stand has become a hot spot for locally grown,
super sweet corn, fat, juicy tomatoes, and a large variety of vegetables,
from beets to zucchini. You can stop by or order one or a bushel. Or get a
dozen fresh eggs-ain't nuti'n like e'm!!
Check out the greenhouse for hanging baskets,
potted plants, pond plants, and our hanging and potted vegetable baskets.
The Greenhouse opens on may 1st but we start growing February 15
and if you have the itch to get to growing stop by and give us your ideas or
you can create
your own hanging master piece, leave it here, we will water and feed it
and you can pick them up when its safe to hang them outside. or, give me a call
or drop an email with your wish list and we will have them ready when you
wish to pick them up.
Bring the hubby, kids, grandma, even the dog and stop by!!!
